Paul Truckey

Paul has been a member of the NMU Theatre and Dance faculty since 2003. He earned his M.F.A. in
Musical Theatre Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Before starting at NMU, he had
an extensive career as a professional performer in Broadway, regional, and national touring productions.
Selected professional acting credits include Les Miserables’ (Original Broadway Company and National
Tour), Rockland: The Opera (World Premier, Rozsa Center), Utah! (World Premier, at Tuacahn
Amphitheatre), Closer Than Ever (Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts). At NMU, he serves as the
Head of BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and teaches a wide range of classes from performance to
directing to dramatic literature. Paul has directed over 30 productions at NMU. Paul works closely with
SISU, the innovation institute at NMU, helping to facilitate design thinking workshops and innovation
seminars. He has also co/led numerous study abroad trips with NMU students to London, Paris,
Scotland, and New York City field Studies. Paul is a member of Actors Equity Association.
