Moritz Staffel is the CEO of DeerSoft GmbH, a software company specialized in the event industry. He started his career at Cine Plus, one of the leading media service providers in Germany. After successfully completing his apprenticeship as an event technician, Moritz deepened his knowledge by studying theater technology. During his studies, Moritz started the development of AutoSTAGE Analysis, an innovative system for calculating event engineering structures directly from AutoCAD. In 2015, Moritz founded DeerSoft and developed Vectorworks Braceworks, which changed the way structural analysis is calculated in event engineering worldwide. For Vectorworks, MA Lighting, and Robe, Moritz co-developed the innovative file formats MVR and GDTF since 2017, which was 2020 was published as DIN SPEC 15800.
