David Butler is a creative technologist and software developer with extensive experience in the production and product development sectors of the live entertainment technology industry, specializing in video systems, media servers, real-time graphics, and show control.

He became part of the Lux Machina team in 2021, having previously worked as a freelance media server programmer and software consultant designing bespoke solutions for a wide range of creative productions and projects worldwide, including live events, music, theatre/opera and film/broadcast.
