Anne E. McMills is a lighting designer, associate lighting designer, professor, and author. Her career extends across the many facets of the lighting world—from theatre (regional to Broadway and the West End) to television and theme parks to architectural lighting, corporate industrials, concerts, cruise ships, award shows, dance, and opera. In addition to designing her own work in New York and regionally, Anne has assisted many Tony Award-winning Broadway designers including Ken Billington, Brian MacDevitt, Howell Binkley, Peter Kaczorowski, Jason Lyons, David Lander, Brian Monahan, and projections designer Elaine J. McCarthy, mounting productions in New York and throughout the world. Anne is a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829, as well as the author of The Assistant Lighting Designer's Toolkit (now in its second edition!) and 3D Printing Basics for Entertainment Design. Anne is the Head of Lighting for the MFA in Design and Technology at San Diego State University.
