Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Learn the relationship between design factor, breaking strength, and working load, and how to include strength reduction factors and load increase factors.  We will also review breaking strengths of common rigging hardware, and learn how to make informed choices when selecting rigging equipment. Objectives: a) use the formula to calculate a design factor, breaking strength, or working load for any given rigging situation, b) use strength reduction factors and load increase factors to adjust the data, and c) select rigging equipment of appropriate strengths for the application.
