Understanding Color for Lighting and Camera

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

LED Lighting technology for live events and the motion picture and television industry overlaps and is widely used in both parts of the industry. In addition to this, it is common to record performances for later playback or during the show itself. It is essential to understand how to coordinate and control color between the light emitted from light sources, light reflected off of objects and people, and light received by the camera sensor/human eye in order to accurately and predictably get the same results captured on camera as seen in person. This session will examine how color is affected through the process and provide solutions to the problems that are faced in an area where there are few accepted guidelines and standards.
