The efficiency of a wire rope or cordage assembly is only as strong as he termination applied to the end of the assembly. The nuances that affect the termination requirements for various materials and constructions is frequently not fully understood. We will cover a number of current materials and constructions of rope and cordage and discuss in a hands-on approach how those details affect the splicing methodologies that must be applied.
